Every Step Consulting LLC ("Every Step Consulting," "we," "us," or "our") is a construction advisory consulting business providing guidance services related to new construction, remodeling, and DIY/owner-builder projects located within the United States.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you voluntarily provide through our website's forms, including but not limited to: your name, email address, phone number, project address, project description, questions or concerns, preferred contact method, and any photos or documents you choose to upload.
For Quick Guidance orders, we additionally collect payment-related information (such as billing name and transaction identifiers) through our third-party payment processor. We do not directly collect, store, or have access to your full card number at any point; this is handled entirely by our payment processor.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected to: (a) respond to your inquiry or deliver the service you requested; (b) process payment for paid services; (c) send you confirmation emails, receipts, and status updates related to your specific request; and (d) maintain internal records of client communications.
We may use AI-assisted tools, including tools we develop and maintain internally, to help deliver and improve our services. Where client information is used to improve our internal systems and tools over time, we take reasonable steps to protect client identity in that process. AI tools are not used to make final judgments or recommendations on our behalf without human review, and are not used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to delivering or improving our services.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share information only with service providers necessary to operate our business, specifically: Wix.com, Inc. (website hosting, form processing, email delivery, and payment processing infrastructure), and any professional the client independently chooses to engage based on our guidance (which is the client's own decision and outside our control).
5. International Data Transfers
Our website and its underlying infrastructure are based in the United States, and information you submit is processed and stored on servers located in the United States, regardless of where you are located when you submit it. If you are located outside the United States, including in the European Union or United Kingdom, you understand and consent that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
6. Data Retention
We retain client information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, comply with legal and tax obligations, and maintain business records, after which it may be deleted or anonymized upon request.
Photographs and documents uploaded through our forms become part of our internal project record for the service provided. This material is used solely to prepare and reference the guidance requested, is not distributed or shared publicly, and is retained as part of our standard project files. Uploaded materials are not subject to deletion upon request.
7. Your Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) to: know what personal information we collect about you; request deletion of your personal information; correct inaccurate personal information; opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information, so this right is currently not applicable in practice); limit the use of sensitive personal information; and not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
For purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Every Step Consulting LLC acts as the data controller of personal information submitted through our website. Our legal basis for processing this information is (a) performance of a contract, where processing is necessary to provide a service you requested, and (b) legitimate business interest, where processing is necessary to respond to an inquiry or maintain business records. If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Although our services relate exclusively to properties located in the United States, we recognize that clients themselves may be located internationally, and we extend these rights to any client who requests them regardless of location.

8. Cookies & Analytics
Our website uses standard analytics tools provided by our website platform (Wix) to understand general site traffic and usage patterns. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies, pixels, or cross-site tracking tools.
9. Marketing Communications
We do not currently send promotional or marketing email communications. All automated emails you receive relate directly to a specific form submission, order, or request you initiated. Should we introduce marketing communications in the future, we will obtain your consent where required by law and provide a clear method to opt out at any time.
10. Children's Privacy
Our website and services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
